2 Corinthians 5:20 – We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. I have a job description in my hands. It has a brown vinyl outside and some of the words within are colored in red. The description includes people who were sick or in pain, wrongfully placed in prison, abandoned by their friends, feared for their lives and gave the ultimate sacrifice for us. This job calls for a special resume. Does your resume include the fact that every day you go on in spite of the pain? Your pain is seen by the world just like those who are spoken of in the Bible. You may feel like a failure or that you don’t seem to muster up enough faith to be healed. But none of that is true. Every day that you walk through your valley of pain and sickness is another entry for your resume. God notices that you’re not giving up and he will gladly hire you for the job of ambassador of our faith. Say “yes” to the job. The rewards may not be in this life, but they are in eternity.
