Proverbs 12:26 - A righteous man is cautious in friendship, but the way of the wicked leads them astray.
Friends are a blessing to talk to and do things with. But there’s a fine line. We must judge whether we’re visiting them too often. There can be a burnout period if our friends feel like we’re draining them instead of encouraging and filling them up. It’s a balance. We have one friend that we don’t have to worry about. Jesus never tires of our pounding on his door or our seeking shelter from the storm of pain all around us. Have you ever been in a situation where you spent too much time with a friend or when a friend has become a burden to you? Let’s talk about it.
Psalm 88:8 - You have taken from me my closest friends and have made me repulsive to them. I am confined and cannot escape.
Question for tonight’s forum: Have you ever felt that people are avoiding you because they can’t handle what you’re going through?
