Lamentations 3:22 – Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. Those who suffer from depression, the individuals in their lives, need to realize that depression is real. It’s not something you’re making up. It’s not something you can “snap out of.” And it’s not something we have to be ashamed of. As I’ve said before, one in four people suffer from a mental illness. Depression is one of them. But you don’t have to stay in the dark even when you have depression and feel like less of a person. A failure as a Christian. I know someone that feels like they are a failure. The only time you’re a failure is when you believe it yourself. So seek out help. Open God’s Word to see what he has to say about it. And surround yourself with people who will support you through the dark valleys. You’re not a failure. You’re just an injured soul. And God will supply you with comfort not ridicule. Though you may feel as if you’ve failed, God's compassions will never fail.
