Romans 12:2 - Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.
You may attend an event and try to fit in. You purposely try to be something you aren’t hoping that you’ll fit in. But did you know that it’s okay not to fit in? Life would be boring if all we did is try to be what others expect us to be. Be a little quirky. Laugh out loud instead of being “politely” quiet. Seek out those in the room who look like no one is talking to them. Walk up to them and be the one who can make them feel they are wanted and special. It’s not an easy task, but when you stop trying to fit in with the crowd, you’ll see those who feel left out, too. And by helping them realize that they are fine just the way they are can lead to becoming who God made you to be. Do you have trouble fitting into the crowd? I’d love to hear from you.
