Psalm 13:2 – How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and day after day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me? Have you ever noticed when a tiny eyelash falls onto the eye, it causes the rest of your body to shout, “Get it off of me!” How can one small thing consume all of your thoughts? Because our eyes are one of the most sensitive to touch parts of our bodies. In comparison, have you even noticed how one small problem can be blown out of proportion when it’s all we see? Take a step back from it. Go and work on something different that doesn’t remind you of the problem, like taking a walk or playing with your children. Then, when you feel more refreshed, take a look at that problem again. It just might surprise you that sometimes the answer looks right back at you. And always remember that God cares about even the smallest problem and enjoys us talking to him about it. Yes, he enjoys even having to listen to that small situation. Let him be your focus. He will direct you and help you find the solutions to your problems or will give you the grace to walk through them.
