Psalm 4:8 - I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.
The alarm clock goes off and you roll out of bed. You don’t feel anymore energized than you did before you went to sleep because you hardly slept. Can it be something was rolling around in your head that you need to get done the next day? Here’s a suggestion: Have a notepad next to your bed. When an idea comes up write it down then go back to sleep. If that doesn’t work, write the list before bed and put the list in a drawer. Out of sight. Out of mind. Do you have difficulty falling asleep because you have too much on your mind?
