Proverbs 14:30 – A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones.
There’s a slippery slope we can find ourselves going down if we’re not careful. Bitter envy. We want what others have and we fixate on it. Think about all day and dream about it all night. It grinds and pulls, makes our bodies ache when it’s not aching. The physical envy over the chronic pain we have and others don’t. You don’t see anxiety tied around their necks like a noose or PTSD following them everywhere they go. So you envy others. Removing envy from your life means you look at the blessings in your life, don’t compare, stay away from thinking that life would be better if yours looked like someone else’s.
