James 5:12 - Above all, my brothers and sisters, do not swear--not by heaven or by earth or by anything else. All you need to say is a simple “Yes” or “No.” Otherwise you will be condemned.
How hard is it for you to say, “No”? Are you a people pleaser who is too afraid to turn down another’s request? I know I am sometimes. Especially when it comes to those I care about. But when you don’t say, “No,” you move towards over-extending yourself, burnout and feeling like a slave. Saying, “No,” doesn’t make you a bad person. It makes you a servant. A true servant is able to say, “No,” sometimes.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.
