Psalm 40:2 - He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. It’s one of those days. We’ve tried and tried to get back on track, but we find ourselves stuck in a muddy pothole. Life is full of potholes and bumps in the road. It’s not an easy ride. But everybody is going through this bumpy sticky ride. It’s up to each of us how we react to it. Some people become angry and blame other people for their potholes. Others just stand still in the mud and wait for someone to get them out. Yet, there are others who see they’re in a sticky situation and look around them for sources of help. There may be broken tree limbs within reach or a spare board still on the ground from a past work project. Once you decide to try to get out a way appears. God is also within reach. He can supply whatever it takes to help you get out of your pothole. Don’t just wait for someone else to do the work. Ask God and then listen to and follow his instructions to get out.
