Isaiah 43:18 - Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.
We compare ourselves to others, but we also compare ourselves to our past. Some of our past memories were bad. But others, in fact, were pretty good. If we keep looking back either to bad memories or good ones, it can hinder us from enjoying the present. We can think that the “good ol’ days” are gone forever. They aren’t. Stop doing comparisons. Today can be one of your future “good ol’ days.” Do you find yourself thinking too often about your past? I’d love to hear from you.
