Philippians 4:8 – Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things.
The Bible says to focus on what’s true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent and praiseworthy. Yet, there’s much of what we have around us is the ugly, angry, hateful world we live in. Those of us who believe that God sent his son Jesus to die did so not only for us, but also for those who act out in ugly, angry, hateful ways. Don’t fear those hateful people. They’re only souls with broken hearts who see no way out of the messed up world we live in. So shine your light today by looking for the truth, finding the noble still living in our world, choose to do what’s right, share your love with others, focus on what’s right in their lives, don’t see more than just the tainted, admire the strength of others even if you don’t agree with their way of thinking, give only an excellent effort and praise others regardless of who they are. Actions others take may be wrong, dead wrong, but that doesn’t mean that even these souls need to be pointed toward a loving Savior.
