Job 3:26 – I have no peace, no quietness; I have no rest, but only turmoil. This is what emotional exhaustion looks like: Anger throws you into a frenzy of feelings that lash out at everyone you meet and yourself for feeling the anger. Fear chains your hands and feet so that you can’t break the cycle. Confusion makes it difficult to decide which road to go down. Depression drains your hope and leaves you with nothing to fight your other battles. Stress keeps you from finding peaceful moments in your day. Exhaustion can lead to burnout. Yet, when you surrender all those negative emotions, God will send us his peace
