When someone is mean to us, we’re not to be mean back. What we can do is find a reason to say “thank you” about what they’ve done for you in the past or you could say, “I can tell something is going on in your life that’s difficult. Is there anything I can do for you?” If the person doesn’t respond in a positive way, it may mean that no matter what you do, it won’t make a difference. Treat others in such a way that they won’t see you as someone attacking them, but as someone who cares and wants to help. This is how God wants us to show his love to the world.
